FORWARD TO FUTURE - Germany granted finance to start Job Coach and Diagnose Centre in Suriname

Since 2008 TANA Foundation - Towards A New Alternative, who is doing vocational trainings of drop outs and other trouble youths successfully since over 12 years, has been following intensive training in the field of job coaching and assessment. They have several international certified job coaches, who were trained by the German specialist company SALO AG in a project for the disability sector „coaches at work“in 2009 and 2010. Further they certified as „Job coach Trainers“ by attending the train the trainers project accomplished by SALO AG, Suriname in 2012. SALO AG opened their branch office in Paramaribo in 2011. SALO developed the online software „Jobs@Suriname“ and worked with the ministry of labor on several plans for the vocational training sector, also for a job coach and diagnose centre. The ministry of labor did not have the capital investment for opening the centre. Due to the needs in the country, in 2013 SALO and TANA signed to work as cooperation partners. Seeking for finance for opening the centre, they applied for financial assistance at the German Embassy in Trinidad. The micro project was granted and has now enabled TANA to open the Job Coach and Diagnose Centre “Forward to Future”.
On Friday, the 13th of March 2015 at 11.00 hrs the centre will start its operation with the unfolding of the new TANA Logo at the Wichersstraat 41 in Paramaribo, Suriname, South America.
“We offer job seekers the right way to choose their dream job, we guide them through training and assists them in choosing a suitable occupation”, explains Bert Hulsman, the director of TANA. By using the newest methods and technique for job coaching and diagnoses, TANA and SALO, as co-operators of the JOB COACH AND DIAGNOSE CENTRE, are providing their services to companies, vocational schools, individuals and the government. The screen through the diagnostic analysis of the centre will give optimal results on the best suitable jobs for the jobseekers and the best suitable employee for the job to be done. It shows the capability and gives guidance to further schooling or vocational training. The centre will be open for information and registration: Mo – Fr 10.00 to 13.00 hrs.
